About the event
The MSHA Part 48B New Miner Training course aims to enhance the safety of miners, contractors, and field representatives in mines. This certification program outlines the essential training requirements for new surface miners in underground settings. The course covers fundamental mining regulations, emergency response protocols, miners' rights and responsibilities, and identifying and avoiding mine-related hazards. Spanning over three days, the training includes First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification on the third day. Each day consists of 8-hour sessions from 8 am to 5 pm, with an hour allocated for lunch. Upon completion, participants will receive an MSHA 5000-23 form and training records will be sent to their respective supervisors.
